In The Bourne Identity (2002), Jason Bourne races across Paris in a red Mini. The locations are free to visit: Pont Neuf, where Bourne sets up his meeting with the Treadstone chief, Gare du Nord, Place Vendôme and the Seine quays. Place Vendôme is about 15 minutes' walk from Hôtel Concortel.

Where was The Bourne Identity filmed in Paris?

The first Bourne film, directed by Doug Liman with Matt Damon and Franka Potente, was shot in locations including Prague and Paris. Specialist sources (the CNC's Film France, movie-locations.com, IMDb) list many scenes in the city, including the famous Mini car chase.

The Mini car chase

Bourne and Marie park outside Gare du Nord, then speed across Paris, chased by motorcycle police. The chase goes through Place Vendôme and down to the Seine quays, where the Mini takes a slip road the wrong way by Quai Louis-Blériot. At Place Vendôme, take time to admire the column and Jules Hardouin-Mansart's façades.

The Pont Neuf meeting

Near the end of the film, Bourne arranges to meet Alexander Conklin on the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris. Go in the late afternoon: the view over the Seine, the Louvre and the Île de la Cité is superb, and Square du Vert-Galant is just below.

Bourne's apartment

Bourne's Paris apartment was filmed at 104 avenue Kléber in the 16th, shown in the film as “104 rue du Jardin”. It is a private building: admire it from the pavement.
