“Look!” at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs: 40 years of fashion

What is the “Look!” exhibition about?

The exhibition marks 40 years of the Musée des Arts de la Mode through 40 emblematic outfits. It also reveals what visitors rarely see: the behind-the-scenes work of conservation and normally hidden items such as drawings, embroidery samples, patterns and registered designs.

The display fills the museum’s great nave and side galleries: the setting alone is worth the visit.

Visiting tips

• The exhibition runs until 4 April 2027.
• The museum opens Tuesday to Sunday until 6 pm and is closed on Mondays.
• Book a time slot on the museum’s official website, which lists prices and free-entry conditions.
• Carry on through the permanent collections, from the Middle Ages to the present day, then stroll in the Tuileries Garden.

How to get there from the hotel?

The museum stands at 107 rue de Rivoli (1st). On foot, head to the Madeleine, then rue Royale and rue de Rivoli: about 25 minutes (estimate). By metro, Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre station (lines 1 and 7) is very close. Find the Louvre on our illustrated map.
