A family brasserie since 1917

On the corner of boulevard Henri IV and boulevard Morland, facing the Île Saint-Louis, Le Sully tells a century of Parisian history. It all began in 1917, when Émile Vidal, fresh from the Aveyron, bought the building at 6 boulevard Henri IV to open Le Célestin, a simple bar-tabac. More than a hundred years later, his family, from Saint-Geniez-d'Olt, still runs the house.

The fourth generation in charge

In summer 2024, Romain Vidal took over from his father Robert: the fourth generation. A handover praised by food critic Gilles Pudlowski, who gave it the transmission award of his 2024 Pudlo bistro awards.

What to eat?

Home-made French cooking from fresh produce: the house has held the Maître Restaurateur title since 2013, which recognises restaurants that cook their own dishes. A real brasserie break between the Marais and the Île Saint-Louis.

How to get there from the Concortel?

Take Line 14 from Saint-Lazare to Châtelet (3 stops), then Line 7 to Sully-Morland (2 stops): the brasserie is right by the exit. Perfect before or after a stroll in the Marais, on the Île Saint-Louis or to Place des Vosges; our ideas are in Discover Paris.
